BS&BS
does not use the traditional races. Oh, there are your basics, but
we go far beyond that with 24 total races. They are broken down into
two categories: civilized and outcast races; this helps guide the
Lorekeeper. Each race has unique skills and even a knack that differentiates
them from each other by making them self reliant yet part of a grander
scale. Each race also has their own unique mount that they can start
with when they begin their journeys.
Here's
a sneak peek at a few of the races:
Woverans
are a race of wolf-men similar in appearance
to humans. They are a race of beings that are naturally born with
the lycanthrope disease in their bloodline. Their natural ability
to control their change makes them far different to the unnatural
abominations that are the real Balverines that change any race into
a permanent werewolf.
Aerions
are a bird-like humanoid race, which
closely resembles the Elfare in facial features and build. Their wings
are of a magical nature for the Aerion can hide their wings from view
even if wearing armor. Their communities are built in the highest
treetops or on mountains where the air currents are strongest.
Gillanders
, once thought to be mythical creatures
born of folklore and tales of old (before the shattered lands); villages
would tell of giants that inhabited the snow-covered Mt. Ijuf in the
region of the Sojinin Peaks. Most stood taller than 8 feet, had broad
shoulders, were very muscular and had eyes that would glow an eerie
purple in the twilight.
